Instagram is today one of the most used social media sites in through out the world . Facebook bought Instagram for 1 billion $ in 2012.Today it has more then 1 billion active users. Which shows the importance and popularity of the app.

And yet it is as fast as ever. 



To delete your Instagram account follow these steps or simply watch the video bellow
  1. Go to the Delete Your Account page from a mobile browser or computer. If you're not logged into Instagram on the web, you'll be asked to log in first.( You can't delete / deactivate your account from within the Instagram app.)
  2. Select an option from the dropdown menu next to Why are you deleting your account ? and re-enter your password. The option to permanently delete your account will only appear after you've selected a reason from the menu.
  3. Click or tap Permanently delete my account.



(Note) permanently deleting an account will make you lose all your photos and videos in Instagram 
So if I were in your place I would definitely get my self a back up for all my photos and videos

How to backup data from Instagram before deleting it 

  1. Tap  or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  2. Tap  in the top right, then tap instagram-settingsSettings.
  3. Tap Security, then tap Download Data.
  4. Enter the email address where you'd like to receive a link to your data and tap Request Download.
  5. Enter your Instagram account password and tap Next, then tap Done.
  6. You'll soon receive an email titled Your Instagram Data with a link to your data. Tap Download Data and follow the instructions to finish downloading your information
